200 mA fast-blow fuse for 32 V DC rails
The F1206A0R20FWTR is a 200 mA fast-blow fuse from KYOCERA AVX's Accu-Guard® series, rated for 32 V DC. It comes in a 1206 (3216 metric) surface-mount package, making it a direct fit for board-level overcurrent protection on low-voltage DC rails — think 24 V industrial sensor supplies, 12 V automotive accessory buses, or 5 V logic power inputs where a short could otherwise toast a regulator or a connector. The fast-blow response means it opens quickly on a hard short, but it will also trip on repetitive inrush pulses that exceed the melting I²t of 2E-05 A²s. If your load has a capacitive input filter that draws a charging spike at power-up, check the I²t budget against the inrush energy — this fuse is not designed to ride through large start-up surges.
Breaking capacity and temperature range
Rated breaking capacity is 50 A at 32 V DC — that is the maximum fault current the fuse can safely interrupt without rupturing or sustaining an arc. In a typical 24 V industrial control cabinet where the available short-circuit current from a 10 A PSU is well under 50 A, this fuse provides adequate fault clearing. If your rail can deliver more than 50 A into a dead short, you need a higher-interrupting-rated fuse or a current-limiting breaker upstream. At the hot end, the fuse's DC resistance of 0.95 Ohms (cold) will increase with temperature, so the voltage drop across the fuse at 200 mA is about 190 mV at 25°C — factor that into your rail budget if you are running near the minimum input voltage of a downstream regulator.
