Logic density and speed grade for glue-logic consolidation
The EPM570T144C4 is a MAX II CPLD from Intel with 570 logic elements and 440 macrocells — enough to absorb a handful of 74-series glue-logic ICs or a small state machine into a single programmable device. The 5.4 ns maximum propagation delay (tpd1) means combinatorial paths settle within one 74HC-series gate delay, so it can replace multiple discrete logic parts without slowing down the bus. With 116 user I/O in a 144-LQFP package, this part fits designs that need moderate pin count for address/data buses or parallel sensor interfaces.
The device is in-system programmable (ISP) via JTAG, so firmware updates or logic changes can be applied on the assembled board without removing the part.
