The Intel EPM570T100C4 is a MAX II CPLD with 440 macrocells and 570 logic elements, giving it the gate count to absorb multiple 74-series logic devices or a handful of small PLDs into one part. The 5.4 ns propagation delay (tpd1) means combinatorial paths settle within one clock cycle at 180 MHz — fast enough for address decoding, bus arbitration, and state-machine control in a 100 MHz system without wait states.
Supply rails and temperature range
The 0°C to 85°C junction temperature range covers indoor and most telecom enclosure environments — not rated for automotive or extended industrial, but fine for office equipment, instrumentation, and base-station control logic. In-system programmability (ISP) via JTAG means the part can be programmed after assembly — no socket or pre-programmed inventory needed. The non-volatile configuration holds on power-up, so there is no external configuration memory required.
