MAX II CPLD with 440 macrocells — glue-logic workhorse for industrial boards
The Intel EPM570GM256I5N is a MAX® II CPLD packing 440 macrocells and 570 logic elements in a 256-ball TFBGA (11x11 mm MBGA). It operates from a 1.71 V to 1.89 V core supply and delivers a combinatorial propagation delay (tpd) of 5.4 ns max — fast enough to absorb address decoding, bus bridging, and state-machine logic without adding wait states on a 100 MHz-class bus. The 160 user I/O are in-system programmable via JTAG, so the logic map can be updated after the board is assembled. The core supply is 1.71 V to 1.89 V.
