Active MAX 10 with 40K logic elements
The 10M40SCE144A7G: It packs 40000 logic elements and 1290240 total RAM bits, giving you about 1.26 Mbit of on-chip block memory for small frame buffers or FIFOs without external SRAM. The 101 user I/O run on a 2.85 V to 3.465 V core supply — that single 3.3 V rail simplifies the power tree compared to split-core FPGAs that also need 1.2 V and 1.8 V.
Logic density and memory for the BOM
With 2500 LABs/CLBs and 40K logic elements, the 10M40SCE144A7G sits in the mid-range of the MAX 10 family — enough for a soft-core MCU, a few SPI/I2C peripherals, and some glue logic, but not for a full video pipeline. The 1.26 Mbit embedded RAM is distributed across M9K blocks — each block is 9 Kbit, so you get about 140 blocks. That is enough for a 128-deep FIFO per block or a small coefficient table for a filter.
