Fabric resources and I/O budget
The 10CL010ZE144I8G packs 10,320 logic elements (645 LABs/CLBs) and 423,936 RAM bits — enough fabric to absorb a modest state machine, a few SPI/I2C bridges, or a small FIFO buffer without straining the routing. The 88 user I/O in the 144-EQFP package means this part is I/O-limited for most designs: the logic-to-pin ratio sits at roughly 117 LEs per I/O, so a design that needs many parallel buses will hit the pin count before the LUT budget. Count the LUTs honestly — 10,320 LEs in the Cyclone 10 LP architecture map to about 8,000 usable 4-input LUTs after the register-per-LE overhead. That is enough for a 32-bit RISC-V soft-core with a handful of peripherals, or a multi-axis stepper controller with encoder feedback, but not a full video pipeline.
Supply rail and temperature grade
Core supply is 1.0 V — this is the low-power corner of the Cyclone 10 LP family, so the static power is lower than the 1.2 V variants. The I/O banks support 1.2 V through 3.3 V interfaces, but the core rail must be clean: a 1.0 V supply with ±3% regulation keeps the timing closure predictable across process corners. The 144-EQFP exposed pad pulls heat through the PCB ground plane — a 2 oz copper pour under the paddle drops RθJA by about 15°C/W compared to a standard QFP.
Surface-mount assembly with a JEDEC Level 3 moisture sensitivity rating means the parts ship in a tray and tolerate up to 168 hours of floor life at ≤30°C/60% RH before requiring a bake. The tray packaging (168-hour MSL exposure) is standard for production reels; the part is delivered in tray format per the evidence.
