Standard XO with 16 MHz HCMOS clock output
The ECS-3951M-160-BN-TR is a standard crystal oscillator (XO) delivering a 16 MHz HCMOS clock from a single 5 V rail. HCMOS output levels swing rail-to-rail, so the driver stage sees clean logic thresholds on the receiving device — the oscillator sits close to the clock input it drives, within a few centimetres on the PCB.
Stability, temperature grade, and current draw
A TCXO would be specified only where sub-ppm stability is contractually required. Maximum supply current is 20 mA — a modest load for any 5 V rail regulator, well within the headroom of a typical LDO or DC-DC converter serving a mixed-signal board. The current figure is constant regardless of output load within the HCMOS drive capability.
4-SMD package and board integration
Supplied on Tape & Reel (TR) with Cut Tape (CT) option — reel quantities suit production runs; cut-tape availability means you can order exactly the quantity needed for NPI without a full reel commitment.
Active lifecycle — no last-time-buy risk today
ECS Inc. lists this part as Active, which means it is in normal production with no announced end-of-life date.
