33.333 MHz HCMOS timing in a 5×3.2 mm package
The ECS-3518-333-B-TR is a crystal-based XO oscillator in the ECS-3518 series, delivering a 33.333 MHz HCMOS output from a 1.8 V rail. HCMOS output level means the drive is standard CMOS logic thresholds — the output swings rail-to-rail and integrates directly with most microcontrollers, FPGAs, and PHY chips without level translation. Frequency stability is ±50 ppm at 25 °C, which is the commercial-grade centre of the tolerance band — adequate for USB timing, Ethernet reference clocks, and general microcontroller bus clocks where ±100 ppm is the system budget.
Package, footprint, and the rework question
No-lead means the terminations are flat pads flush with the body sides; paste print and reflow profile follow standard SMD reflow practices — the crystal resonator inside is not thermally sensitive in the way a MEMS oscillator can be. Operating temperature is 0°C to 70°C, so this is a commercial indoor-grade part — not suited for outdoor enclosures that see sub-freezing ambient without additional thermal management, and not appropriate for engine-bay or industrial floor-level deployments without derating or selection of the wider industrial temp grade from the ECS-3518 family.
Sourcing and lifecycle
Lifecyle is listed Active by ECS Inc. — the part is in normal production and orderable through distribution channels. The series package (Tape & Reel and Cut Tape) supports both production volumes on reel and prototype quantities as cut pieces from the same reel — confirm the ordering package matches your assembly handler's feeder spec before committing to a build quantity.
