AEC-Q200 PTC for automotive and industrial protection
The Bel Fuse 0ZCJ0075FF2E is a polymeric PTC resettable fuse from the 0ZCJ series, rated for 750 mA hold current (Ih) and 1.5 A trip current (It) at 8V max.
The 750 mA hold current is the maximum steady-state current the device can carry without tripping at 25°C ambient. Above that, the 1.5 A trip current guarantees the PTC switches to a high-resistance state within 200 ms (typical), protecting downstream circuitry. The 100 A maximum fault current rating means it can interrupt short circuits up to that level without rupturing. Initial resistance (Ri) is 90 mOhms minimum, rising to 290 mOhms maximum after a trip event (R1). The low Ri minimizes I²R losses in normal operation, while the post-trip resistance ensures sufficient voltage drop to keep the device latched until power is cycled. The 1206 (3216 Metric) concave package is surface-mount, 3.25 mm x 1.65 mm with a max thickness of 1.25 mm. The concave termination style improves solder joint reliability under thermal cycling compared to flat-chip designs.
