What this SPST-NC switch does on your board
The Maxim Integrated MAX4595EXK+T is a single-pole single-throw normally-closed analog switch in a 5-pin SC-70-5 package. It routes one signal path that is closed when the control pin is low, opening when driven high.
Signal path performance at a glance
The 10 Ohm max on-resistance (R_on) is low enough to pass an analog signal with minimal voltage drop when the load impedance is high, typical of op-amp inputs or ADC drivers. The 300 MHz bandwidth means the switch doesn't roll off signals below that frequency — useful for video, fast serial data, or IF paths.
Precision specs for sensitive circuits
Off-leakage current maxes at 500 pA, so when the switch is open it doesn't bleed signal into the output node — important for high-impedance sensor inputs or integrator stages. Charge injection of 2 pC is the amount of charge dumped onto the signal line each time the switch toggles; in a sample-and-hold this translates to a voltage step that must settle before the ADC conversion. Both numbers are competitive for a general-purpose analog switch in this package size.
The SC-70-5 (SOT-353) footprint is compact, fitting into dense mixed-signal layouts.
