75°C over-temperature trip in a SOT-23-5
The ADT6501SRJZP075RL7 is a factory-programmed thermostat that asserts its /OverTemp output when the die temperature exceeds 75°C. The open-drain, active-low signal pulls low on a fault and goes high-Z when the temperature drops back below the trip point minus the selected hysteresis.
Selectable hysteresis stops output chatter
The selectable hysteresis feature lets you choose between a narrow and wide temperature deadband around the trip point. Without it, a sensor sitting right at 75°C would toggle the output on every degree of noise; with hysteresis engaged, the output stays latched until the temperature drops a defined margin below the threshold. The open-drain output sinks up to 20 mA — enough to drive a small relay coil, an optocoupler LED, or a logic input directly. The pull-up resistor to the supply rail sets the logic-high voltage; choose a value that keeps the sink current under the 20 mA ceiling at the output low voltage.
Active production — no lifecycle risk
The SOT-23-5 package is a common, widely stocked footprint. Tape & Reel packaging (RL7 suffix) suits automated pick-and-place assembly; cut-tape quantities are also available for prototyping or low-volume builds.
