Single-cell Li-Ion charging with programmable current and timer
This is a constant-current programmable charger for one-cell lithium-ion battery packs, with a maximum charge current of 1.5 A and a battery regulation voltage of 4.2 V. The charge current and charge-termination timer are both programmable via external resistors, giving the designer control over the charge profile without firmware overhead. Over-temperature fault protection shuts down the charger if the die temperature exceeds the safe operating limit, preventing thermal runaway during a fault condition.
