The AD524ARZ-16-REEL7 is a single-channel instrumentation amplifier from Analog Devices, designed to extract small differential signals in the presence of large common-mode voltages. It targets precision sensor interfaces — strain gauges, thermocouples, bridge transducers — where the 1 MHz bandwidth and 5 V/µs slew rate preserve signal shape while the 250 µV input offset holds DC accuracy within a few hundred microvolts. The 12 V to 36 V supply span lets it run off industrial rails or unregulated battery stacks without an extra regulator.
The 1 MHz -3 dB bandwidth is the small-signal limit; for large-signal pulses, the slew rate becomes the bottleneck. If your application drives a 20 Vpp step into a heavy load, expect the output to take about 4 µs to settle — plan your ADC sampling window accordingly.
