15 A continuous, 800 V blocking — chassis-mount rectifier for line-powered supplies
The GBPC1508-E4/51: The Vishay GBPC1508-/51 is a single-phase bridge rectifier rated for 15 A average rectified output at an 800 V peak reverse voltage — the standard 1.414× multiplier on 240 VAC mains gives 339 V peak, so this part comfortably handles 480 VAC lines with margin for transients. Forward voltage is 1.1 V max at 7.5 A per leg, meaning each diode pair drops about 8.25 W at half-rated current — the GBPC package's metal tab and QC terminals conduct heat to a chassis or heatsink, so thermal design must account for the junction-to-case resistance at full load. Reverse leakage stays at 5 µA at the full 800 V blocking voltage — low enough for standby power budgets in always-on industrial supplies or battery-charger front ends.
QC terminal mounting — no soldering needed for power wiring
The GBPC1508-/51 uses 0.25-inch quick-connect (QC) terminals on a 4-Square GBPC package — the four tabs accept standard female spade connectors, so the bridge wires into a chassis-mount supply without soldering the main current path. The GBPC supplier device package is a through-hole, metal-base rectifier with a 28.5 mm square footprint and a 10.8 mm seated height — the centre hole accepts a #6 screw for heatsink attachment, and the QC tabs are keyed for polarity.
