Fixed 2.8V rail for always-on loads
The TCR2LE28,LM(CT is a single-output positive LDO from Toshiba's TCR2LE series, delivering a fixed 2.8 V at up to 200 mA. That 2.8 V rail is common for powering the analog front-end or I/O bank of a 3.3 V system that needs a clean, regulated sub-rail — the dropout voltage is only 0.38 V max at 150 mA, so a 3.0 V input gives the regulator enough headroom to hold regulation. Quiescent current is 2 µA typical — low enough that the regulator's own draw is below the self-discharge rate of most coin cells, making this LDO a fit for battery-powered equipment that spends most of its life in a low-power sleep state.
Housed in a SOT-553 package (supplier device package ESV), the part occupies roughly 1.6 mm × 1.6 mm of board area — about half the footprint of a SOT-23-5. The enable pin (Control Features: Enable) lets a GPIO or power-management IC shut the output off without a series PFET, and the over-current protection clamps the output if the load exceeds the rated 200 mA.
