1.5 A unipolar stepper driver with 1/32 microstepping
The TB67S179FTG,EL is a fully integrated stepper motor driver from Toshiba that packs the control logic and power stage into a single 48-VQFN package. It drives unipolar stepper motors with a continuous output current of 1.5 A and accepts a motor supply voltage from 10 V to 60 V, making it suitable for a range of general-purpose motion-control applications like small CNC stages, 3D printer axes, and automated lab equipment.
Microstepping and output stage
The driver supports step resolutions from full-step down to 1/32 microstepping via a parallel interface, which lets the system designer trade off torque ripple and smoothness against step rate without changing the motor. The half-bridge output configuration (four bridges) drives a single unipolar stepper winding per bridge, and the Power MOSFET technology keeps conduction losses manageable at the 1.5 A continuous rating.
