BLDC commutation controller with integrated pre-driver
The TC78B006FNG,EL is a brushless DC (BLDC) motor controller that integrates commutation logic and a pre-driver stage. It accepts a 3.5V to 16V supply rail and outputs two half-bridge drive signals, making it suited for small- to medium-power BLDC motors in fan, pump, or spindle applications where the external power stage handles the high-current switching. The controller uses a PWM interface for speed and direction commands, and the internal Power MOSFET technology drives the external half-bridge FETs.
Package and supply integration
The 3.5V to 16V supply range means a single 12V or 5V rail can power the controller directly, simplifying the power tree. The half-bridge outputs are pre-driver level — an external FET bridge handles the motor current, so the controller's own dissipation stays low even at higher bus voltages.
