Product details

36-WQFN motor driver with integrated power stage

The TB62261FTAG,EL from Toshiba Semiconductor is a fully integrated motor driver combining control logic and a Power MOSFET output stage in a single 36-WQFN (6x6 mm) package with an exposed thermal pad. It drives a bipolar stepper motor in full-, half-, or quarter-step resolution, or a brushed DC motor, through four half-bridge outputs rated 800 mA continuous.

Output stage and motor compatibility

Four half-bridge outputs configured in an H-bridge pair for bipolar stepper control or as dual H-bridges for two brushed DC motors — the parallel interface selects the step mode and direction. Step resolution options of 1, 1/2, and 1/4 let the designer trade torque ripple for microstep smoothness without external indexer logic. Rated for appliance-class applications, the driver operates over a junction temperature range of -20°C to 150°C, covering the thermal envelope of enclosed PCB assemblies in white goods and small pumps.

Frequently asked questions

What motor types and output current does it support?

It drives bipolar stepper motors (full, half, quarter step) or brushed DC motors through four half-bridge outputs rated 800 mA continuous, with a load supply from 10 V to 35 V.
