Dual PNP pre-biased transistor in SOT-553
The Toshiba RN2708JE(TE85L,F) is a dual PNP pre-biased transistor in a SOT-553 package, integrating two 22 kΩ base resistors (R1) and two 47 kΩ emitter-base resistors (R2) per channel. This built-in bias network eliminates up to four external resistors per channel, saving board space and reducing pick-and-place cost in high-density designs.
At 5 mA collector current and 5 V Vce, the junction stays well within the 100 mW ceiling, but driving 50 mA continuously at 2 V Vce would hit the limit. In practice, this part fits best in logic-level translation, sensor wake-up circuits, or as a pre-driver for a larger power transistor — not as a pass element itself.
