Two PNP pre-biased transistors in one SOT-553
The Toshiba RN2703JE(TE85L,F) packs two PNP pre-biased transistors in an emitter-coupled configuration into a single SOT-553 package. Each transistor has a 22kΩ base resistor (R1) and a 22kΩ emitter-base resistor (R2) integrated on-chip, so you drop the two external bias resistors per channel. Collector-emitter breakdown is rated at 50V, with a maximum collector current of 100mA and a transition frequency of 200MHz. The integrated bias resistors simplify PCB layout for low-power switching and driver applications — fewer passives, tighter placement, and a smaller overall footprint than two discrete PNP transistors with separate resistors.
SOT-553 — small, but reworkable
The SOT-553 package is a tiny five-lead surface-mount case with a 1.6 mm × 1.6 mm footprint. It is small enough for dense portable designs but still hand-reworkable with a fine-tip iron and magnification.
