Automotive-grade pre-biased NPN for space-constrained switching
The Toshiba RN1415,LXHF is an Automotive-grade NPN pre-biased transistor qualified to AEC-Q101, meaning it meets the stress and reliability requirements for under-hood and chassis-mounted electronics in passenger and commercial vehicles. Integrating the bias resistors R1 (2.2 kOhms) and R2 (10 kOhms) into the transistor die eliminates two external passives, saving board area and reducing placement cost in high-volume automotive modules.
50 V, 100 mA switching envelope with 250 MHz ft
The 250 MHz transition frequency supports switching up to several MHz, adequate for PWM dimming circuits, DC-DC converter feedback, and sensor conditioning where the load current stays under 100 mA. Maximum power dissipation is 200 mW — in a SOT-23-3 package, this limits the continuous current at elevated ambient temperatures; the AEC-Q101 qualification includes the thermal cycling profile for engine-bay duty.
