The UCC27512DRST is a single-channel low-side gate driver from Texas Instruments, designed to drive IGBTs and N-channel MOSFETs. Its peak output current is 4 A source and 8 A sink, meaning the gate is pulled down harder than it is pushed up — a deliberate asymmetry that speeds up the turn-off edge and reduces cross-conduction losses in half-bridge and synchronous-rectifier stages.

These edge rates keep switching losses low in hard-switched topologies running at several hundred kilohertz. The input accepts both inverting and non-inverting signals, giving the designer polarity flexibility without an external inverter.
