What the UCC27425D does in your power stage
The UCC27425D is a dual low-side gate driver from Texas Instruments, built to drive N-channel and P-channel MOSFETs with a peak output current of 4 A source and 4 A sink. The 20 ns rise and 15 ns fall times (typical) let it switch the gate capacitance quickly, which matters when you are trying to keep switching losses under control in a DC-DC converter or a synchronous rectifier stage. Each of the two independent channels accepts both inverting and non-inverting inputs, so you can configure the polarity per channel without extra inverters. The logic thresholds are set at 1 V (VIL) and 2 V (VIH).
Supply range and temperature envelope
Supply voltage range is 4 V to 15 V. That covers the common bias rails for gate-drive supplies.
