4 A peak drive — sizing the gate loop
The UCC27324DGN is a dual low-side gate driver from Texas Instruments, delivering 4 A peak source and 4 A peak sink current per channel. That 4 A peak rating is the spec that decides whether this part can drive the total gate charge of your MOSFET pair within the target switching interval — for a 60 nC gate, 4 A source yields a 15 ns rise, consistent with the 20 ns typical rise time listed. The supply rail spans 4.5 V to 15 V, covering both standard 10 V and logic-level 5 V gate drives without an external bias regulator.
Independent channels, non-inverting inputs
Each of the two driver channels operates independently with non-inverting inputs. The logic threshold is set at 1 V for VIL and 2 V for VIH, which means a 3.3 V PWM signal from a microcontroller or DSP meets the VIH spec with margin. The driven configuration is low-side only — this part drives the gate of N-channel or P-channel MOSFETs referenced to ground, not a half-bridge high-side.
