Gate driver for harsh environments
The Texas Instruments UCC27322MDEP is a single-channel low-side gate driver rated for 9A peak source and sink current, operating from a 4V to 15V supply. It drives both N-channel and P-channel MOSFETs with a non-inverting input, making it a straightforward choice for switch-mode power supplies, motor drives, and DC-DC converters that need a fast, high-current gate drive.
9 A peak — what it buys you
The 9A peak output (source and sink symmetric) charges and discharges MOSFET gate capacitance quickly. The 20 ns rise and fall times support fast switching transitions.
Housed in an 8-SOIC package (0.154" body width, 3.90 mm), surface-mount. The SOIC-8 footprint is a standard, widely available land pattern; no special layout considerations beyond keeping the gate-drive loop short. Supplied in Tube — not Tape & Reel — so factor that into your pick-and-place setup if you are running high-volume reels.
