9A peak drive for large-gate MOSFETs
The UCC27321DGN is a single-channel low-side MOSFET driver from Texas Instruments, designed to deliver 9A peak source and 9A peak sink current to the gate of an N-channel or P-channel power MOSFET. The 20ns typical rise and fall times keep switching losses low in high-frequency power converters, motor drives, and DC-DC modules. A supply range of 4V to 15V lets it run off a 5V bias or a 12V rail without an extra regulator.
Inverting input and logic compatibility
The input is inverting — a logic high at the input turns the output low, and vice versa. Logic thresholds are set at 1V for VIL and 2V for VIH, which means the driver accepts standard 3.3V and 5V logic levels directly from an MCU or DSP without external level translation. This simplifies the interface in mixed-voltage designs.
