Half-bridge driver with 3 A peak gate drive
The UCC27289DRMR is a half-bridge NMOS gate driver from Texas Instruments, delivering a 3 A peak output current from an 8 V to 16 V supply rail. That 3 A peak is enough to drive the gate charge of a medium-power MOSFET pair in a synchronous buck or full-bridge topology without excessive switching loss — the designer sizes the external bootstrap diode and capacitor per the target frequency and duty cycle. The bootstrap circuit is integrated on the high-side channel, so only one external bootstrap capacitor and diode are needed per half-bridge. The driver accepts analog, logic, or PWM input signals on the low-voltage side and shifts them to the floating high-side rail.
The part ships in Tape & Reel (TR) or Cut Tape (CT) on the 8-SOIC (0.154", 3.90 mm width) package — the 8-SOIC footprint is a standard body width, so the PCB land pattern matches generic SOIC-8 guidelines. ROHS3 compliant.
