Product details

Half-bridge driver with 4 A peak gate current

The UCC27210DPRT is a half-bridge gate driver from Texas Instruments, designed to drive two N-channel MOSFETs in an independent-channel configuration. Its 4 A peak source and sink current charges the gate capacitance quickly, keeping the switching transition short and the crossover loss window narrow. The bootstrap high-side supply handles up to 120 V, so the driver suits 48 V and 60 V bus systems common in telecom rectifiers, motor drives, and DC-DC converters. The supply rail itself runs from 8 V to 17 V, matching the bias voltage of most PWM controllers and isolated converter primary-side circuits.

Switching speed and temperature range

Typical rise and fall times of 7.2 ns and 5.5 ns mean the driver can switch a 1 nF gate load in under 10 ns — fast enough for 500 kHz+ switching frequencies without excessive dead-time margin. Rated for operation from -40°C to 140°C junction temperature, the driver covers the industrial and automotive ambient range with margin for self-heating in a compact 10-WSON package.
