3A peak drive, 120V bootstrap ceiling
The UCC27201ADRMT is a half-bridge driver for N-channel MOSFETs, delivering 3A peak source and 3A peak sink current. That 3A rating means it can charge a typical 10 nC gate in about 3.3 ns of effective drive time, leaving the rest of the 8 ns rise-time budget for the gate resistor and layout inductance. The bootstrap supply handles up to 120 V on the high side, so this part fits 48 V, 72 V, and 96 V bus rails — not 400 V systems. Supply range is 8 V to 17 V, covering the common 12 V bias rail with margin. The non-inverting inputs are independent per channel, with logic thresholds at 0.8 V (VIL) and 2.5 V (VIH), compatible with 3.3 V and 5 V controller outputs.
Housed in an 8-VSON (4x4 mm) with an exposed thermal pad. The 140°C junction rating gives 15°C more headroom than the typical 125°C industrial limit, useful in motor-drive or PFC stages where the ambient inside the enclosure runs hot. Compared to the LM5106MM/NOPB (1.2 A peak, 125°C limit, MSOP-8), the UCC27201ADRMT offers 2.5× the peak drive current and a wider junction temperature envelope. The trade-off is package: the VSON requires a thermal pad layout; the MSOP does not.
Active production, no end-of-life signal
The base product number UCC27201 covers multiple package variants; the ADRMT suffix identifies the 8-VSON tape-and-reel option.
