Temperature range and protection — what they mean for production
On-chip protection includes over-current, over-temperature, and reverse polarity — that last one saves you a series Schottky if the input rail can be mis-wired. The enable pin lets you sequence the rail or shut it down in standby, dropping quiescent current from 100 µA to near zero.
