3 V fixed LDO for noise-sensitive and extended-temperature rails
Operating temperature spans -40 to 125 °C, which puts it into automotive under-hood, industrial motor-drive, and outdoor telecom enclosures — not just bench-grade commercial gear. The quiescent current sits at 115 µA, low enough for an always-on 3 V keep-alive rail in an ECU or a portable instrument that spends most of its time in sleep.
Protection set and control — what is built in
The TPS76130DBVT packs overcurrent, overtemperature, reverse polarity, and transient voltage protection. That saves a few external diodes and a PTC on the board — especially relevant for reverse-battery scenarios in automotive or field-powered sensors where the connector can be plugged in backwards. An Enable pin lets the system micro put the regulator into shutdown, dropping the supply current to near zero when the load is idle.
Package and footprint
Housed in a 5-pin SOT-23 (SOT-753), the part takes up minimal board area. The supplier device package is SOT-23-5, a common footprint shared across many TI low-dropout regulators.
Lifecycle and sourcing reality
TI lists the TPS76130DBVT as Active. No end-of-life notice, no last-time-buy clock ticking. That makes it safe to qualify into a new BOM or sustain an existing production line without worrying about a sudden discontinuation.
