Active production supervisor with adjustable timing
The TPS3898PDRYT is a Texas Instruments Simple Reset/Power-On Reset supervisor with Active Low, Open Drain output — a single-channel voltage monitor in a 6-SON (1.45x1) package. Both the voltage threshold and reset timeout are adjustable/selectable, which means the same base part number can cover multiple power rail supervision points by changing a few external resistors and a capacitor.
The 6-UFDFN (6-SON 1.45x1) package is a small, thermally enhanced DFN with a 0.50 mm pitch — the exposed pad on the bottom side needs a thermal via array under the pad to pull heat into the ground plane. Surface-mount only; the tape-and-reel and cut-tape options cover prototype through production volumes.
For a functional alternative with a fixed timeout, the TLV803EA29VDBZR (130 ms minimum) or TLV803ED29DBZR (33 ms minimum) are in the same Simple Reset family, but they lack the adjustable threshold and timeout of the TPS3898.
