Rail supervisor for a 2V supply – what the threshold means in practice
It monitors a single rail and asserts a reset signal when the voltage drops below the 2V threshold, holding the reset active until the supply recovers above that level. The 2V threshold is fixed—no external resistor divider needed—so it is a direct fit for a 2V core or I/O rail where you want an undervoltage lockout without extra components.
Output type and reset polarity – open drain, active low
The reset output is Active Low with an Open Drain or Open Collector stage. That means the output pulls low when the monitored voltage falls below threshold, and floats high when the rail is good. You supply the pull-up resistor to your logic rail—typically 10 kΩ to 100 kΩ—which allows the reset signal to interface with any logic family voltage without level shifting. The open-drain nature also lets you wire-OR multiple supervisors onto a single reset line if you are monitoring several rails.
