Active production supervisor with a 3V threshold
The TPS3850H30DRCT is a Texas Instruments Simple Reset/Power-On Reset IC that monitors a single 3V rail and asserts an Active Low reset output when the supply drops below threshold. The open-drain output lets you wire-OR with other supervisors or pull to a different voltage domain — handy when the reset signal needs to live at 1.8V or 5V while the monitored rail is 3V.
Adjustable reset timeout for system flexibility
The reset timeout is adjustable or selectable via an external capacitor — you set the delay to match the power-up settling time of your downstream ICs. A short timeout (few ms) works for fast-starting FPGAs; a longer timeout (hundreds of ms) suits a multi-rail PMIC sequence. Compared to fixed-timeout supervisors like the TLV803EA29VDBZR (130 ms minimum) or TLV803ED29DBZR (33 ms minimum), the TPS3850H30DRCT gives you control over the delay without changing the IC. That matters when you're qualifying the same BOM across multiple board variants with different power-up profiles.
