0.9V threshold — why this supervisor exists
That 0.9V threshold targets the core supplies of low-voltage processors, FPGAs, and SoCs where a 1.8V or 3.3V supervisor would never trip — the processor would start executing on a brownout and corrupt memory. The active-low, push-pull output drives the reset pin directly without an external pull-up resistor, and the SOT-23-3 package fits into tight layouts on a two-layer board.
The SOT-23-3 footprint is a standard three-pin device — the reset output, ground, and VDD — so layout is straightforward and the same pad pattern works across the TPS3839 family if you need a different threshold voltage later.
