20 ms minimum reset timeout — what it buys you
The reset output stays low for a minimum of 20 ms after the supply crosses the threshold. That window gives the power rail time to settle and the oscillator to stabilise before the processor fetches its first instruction. In a typical 2.5 V rail with a 10 µF bypass cap, the 20 ms timeout covers the ramp-up transient even with a slow-start regulator.
The SOT-23-6 package is a 6-lead surface-mount footprint with 0.95 mm pitch — easy to hand-solder or reflow, and the small body (3.0 mm × 3.0 mm) fits tight layouts.
