Supervisor for low-voltage rails
The TPS3808G12DRVT is a single-channel voltage supervisor from Texas Instruments, monitoring a 1.12V threshold rail with an active-low, open-drain reset output. It is part of the TPS3808 family of Simple Reset/Power-On Reset ICs, designed to hold a microcontroller or DSP in reset until the supply stabilises. The 1.12V threshold suits modern low-voltage core rails (e.g., 1.2V or 1.1V supplies), where a precise reset prevents brownout glitches from corrupting register states or flash writes.
Active lifecycle and package
Supplied in a 6-WDFN exposed pad package (6-WSON 2x2 mm), it is surface-mount and RoHS3 compliant. The small footprint and exposed pad aid thermal transfer in compact power-management layouts.
Temperature range and reset timing
The reset timeout period is adjustable or selectable via an external capacitor, giving the designer flexibility to match the power-up ramp time of the monitored rail.
