The active-low, open-drain output means you can wire-OR it with other fault signals into a shared reset line — handy when you have a supervisor per voltage domain and want a single interrupt to the MCU.

It will sit on a motor-drive board near the IGBTs or under the hood of a vehicle without drifting its thresholds from self-heating. The wide range also covers cold-crank events where the ambient drops well below freezing — the supervisor stays awake and asserts reset before the downstream logic browns out.
