2.93V threshold — where it trips and why that matters
The TPS3606-33DGS: The voltage threshold is set at 2.93V, which is the trip point for monitoring a nominal 3.3V rail. When the supply drops below that level, the active-low reset output (push-pull, totem pole) asserts and holds the downstream processor in reset for a minimum of 60ms after the rail recovers. That 60ms timeout gives the 3.3V rail and any local decoupling time to stabilise before the CPU starts executing code — a common failure point on boards where the supervisor timeout is too short for the bulk capacitance charge time.
Single-voltage monitoring — one rail, one decision
This device monitors a single voltage. If your board needs supervision on multiple rails (e.g., 3.3V and 1.8V or 5V and 3.3V), you would need a multi-voltage supervisor or a second instance of this part. For a single 3.3V rail design, the TPS3606-33DGS is a direct fit with no unused channels.
