The 65ms minimum reset timeout holds the system in reset long enough for the rail and clock to settle after a fault clears — a common requirement for MCU and DSP power-on sequences. Housed in a SOT-23-6 package, it is a direct fit for space-constrained boards where a separate supervisor IC is preferred over an integrated PMIC.
Open-drain output — wired-OR and level translation
The open-drain output lets the reset signal be pulled up to a different voltage than the monitored rail, so a 3.3V supervisor can reset a 1.8V logic domain through a single pull-up resistor. Multiple open-drain supervisors can share a common pull-up to implement a wired-OR reset bus — useful in multi-rail systems where any undervoltage condition must trigger a global reset.
