What the 7 A and 10 mOhm mean for your load
At 7 A, that 10 mOhm drops only 70 mV — negligible for a 5 V or 12 V rail — so the load sees nearly full bus voltage. The real thermal constraint is the junction temperature: at 7 A the dissipation is I²R = 0.49 W, which in the 2x2 mm VQFN package needs a solid copper pour on the exposed pad to stay below the thermal shutdown threshold.
