USB-C controller with a 4.65V to 25V input window
The Texas Instruments TPS25741RSMR is a USB Type-C controller that handles the negotiation and power delivery role for a USB-C port. Its 4.65V to 25V supply range covers the common USB-C power profiles from 5V up through 20V PD, with margin for the bus transients that show up on a real board.
That means TI is not actively promoting it for new projects, and the production window is finite. For an existing design already using this controller, the NRND flag is a signal to evaluate a drop-in or layout-compatible successor before TI issues a last-time-buy notice.
32-VQFN package — footprint and thermal
The 32-VFQFN with exposed pad (4x4 mm body) is a standard QFN package. Surface-mount assembly on a standard reflow profile handles this package without special handling. The MSL rating is not in the current records, so confirm the moisture sensitivity level with the lot-specific label before the reel hits the oven — a bake step may be needed if the floor life has been exceeded.
