The TPS2552DRVT is a Texas Instruments high-side power distribution switch with a single N-channel output rated for 1.5 A continuous.
Adjustable current limit — protection without extra supervision
Fault protection includes adjustable current limiting, over-temperature shutdown, and undervoltage lockout (UVLO). The current limit is set with an external resistor, so the trip threshold can be dialled in for the specific load — useful when the downstream circuitry has a known inrush profile or a tight overcurrent budget.
The wide range also provides headroom for derating in high-current designs.
6-WSON (2x2) — footprint and thermal design
Housed in a 6-pin WSON with an exposed pad (2x2 mm body), the package is compact enough for space-constrained layouts. The 0.50 mm pitch is manageable on a two-layer board with careful fan-out.
