1.1 A high-side switch with adjustable current limit
It delivers up to 1.1 A continuous output with a typical on-resistance of 85 mOhm, making it a compact choice for distributing power to USB peripherals, card slots, or other point-of-load rails. The switch is controlled by an On/Off interface with non-inverting input logic.
Fault protection and thermal envelope
Built-in fault protection includes adjustable current limiting, over-temperature shutdown, and undervoltage lockout (UVLO). The adjustable current limit lets the designer set the trip point to match the load, avoiding nuisance trips while protecting the wiring and connector. The 85 mOhm Rds(on) keeps conduction losses low enough that the SOT-23-6 package can dissipate the heat without forced airflow at currents up to 1.1 A, provided the PCB copper area is adequate.
Slew-rate controlled switching
The slew-rate controlled turn-on limits inrush current when driving capacitive loads, such as the input capacitors on a downstream regulator or a USB port. This reduces the risk of supply droop and lowers conducted EMI at start-up.
