Dual 4 A load switch with 27 mOhm Rds(on)
The TPS22968NDPUT: That Rds(on) keeps conduction loss low — at 4 A the I²R dissipation is under half a watt, so the 14-WSON package can run without a heatsink in most layouts. It operates from a load voltage range of 0.8 V to 5.5 V, covering common core rails (0.8 V–1.2 V) up to 5 V peripheral supplies. The switch is controlled by a simple On/Off interface with non-inverting input logic, and no external Vcc supply is needed — the gate drive is derived from the input voltage.
Slew-rate control and dual-channel gating
Slew-rate controlled switching limits inrush current during turn-on, which prevents the upstream supply from drooping when a capacitive load is connected. This matters in multi-rail designs where a sudden load step on one channel could brown out the other channel's rail. With two independent high-side switches in a single 14-WSON (3x2 mm) package, the TPS22968NDPUT saves board space compared to two discrete load switches. The 1:1 input-to-output ratio means each channel is a dedicated pass FET — no multiplexing, no shared output.
