14 mOhm on-resistance and 2 A continuous rating
The TPS22922YZPR is a single-channel P-channel load switch with a typical on-resistance of 14 mOhm. At 2 A continuous output, the conduction loss is I²R = 56 mW — negligible for most designs, keeping the junction temperature rise low even in the compact 6-DSBGA package. The switch is controlled by a single On/Off logic input and requires no external Vcc supply — the gate drive is self-biased from the input voltage.
Load discharge and slew rate control for inrush management
Two integrated features simplify system design: load discharge pulls the output to ground when the switch is disabled, preventing floating output rails that could hold logic states indeterminate. The output configuration is high-side with a 1:1 input-to-output ratio, meaning the switch passes the input voltage directly to the load with minimal drop. The non-inverting input turns the switch on with a logic high.
Industrial temperature range and package footprint
The 6-DSBGA package measures roughly 1.2 mm × 0.8 mm, saving board area but requiring a controlled reflow profile and X-ray inspection for solder-joint verification. Texas Instruments lists the product status as Active with ROHS3 compliance.
