High-side load switch for sub-1 V core rails
The TPS22920YZPT: Its 5.3 mOhm typical on-resistance keeps conduction loss low enough that a 4 A continuous load can run without a heatsink in most board environments. The input voltage range spans 0.75 V to 3.6 V.
At 4 A, the 5.3 mOhm Rds(on) produces about 85 mW of I²R loss. The switch is slew-rate controlled and includes a load-discharge feature, so the output ramps up cleanly and discharges through an internal pull-down when disabled — no external bleed resistor needed.
The 8-DSBGA (1.9x0.9 mm) package is a 0.5 mm pitch BGA with eight bumps.
