The TPS22916CNYFPT is a single-channel, high-side P-channel load switch from Texas Instruments, rated for 2 A continuous output and a load voltage range of 0 V to 5.5 V. The 200 mOhm typical Rds(on) keeps conduction loss under 0.4 W at full load — well within the thermal budget of the 4-DSBGA package when the board has a reasonable copper pour under the device. Slew-rate controlled turn-on limits inrush current, so the upstream regulator does not sag when the load is switched in.
The switch operates from a Vcc/Vdd supply of 1 V to 5.5 V. The input-to-output ratio is 1:1 — no level shifting. Reverse current fault protection blocks current from flowing back into the input when the output voltage exceeds the input. The non-inverting input type means a logic high on the enable pin turns the switch on.

The supplier device package is 4-DSBGA — no exposed thermal pad; heat is conducted through the solder bumps and PCB copper. Store the reels dry: the package is moisture-sensitive and needs bake before reflow if the seal is broken.
