Slew rate control and fault protection
The TPS22916CLYFPT: The slew rate controlled turn-on limits inrush current into capacitive loads, reducing supply droop on the upstream rail during power-up sequencing. Reverse current fault protection blocks current flow from output to input when the output voltage exceeds the input — useful in multi-rail systems where a downstream rail may back-feed through the switch during power-down or fault conditions. The inverting input logic means the enable pin is active low — the switch turns on when the enable pin is pulled below the threshold, which must match the system's power-good or reset signal polarity.
