Load switch for general-purpose power rail sequencing
The Texas Instruments TPS22914CYFPR is a single-channel, high-side N-channel load switch in a 4-DSBGA package, rated for 2 A continuous output and a load voltage range of 1.05 V to 5.5 V. It integrates a slew-rate-controlled turn-on to manage inrush current into capacitive loads, which keeps the upstream supply rail from dipping during power-up. The 37 mOhm typical on-resistance keeps conduction losses low enough that a 2 A rail doesn't need a heatsink in most industrial environments. Operation spans -40 to 85 °C, so it fits outdoor telecom, factory-floor I/O modules, and general-purpose power-distribution boards.
Package and mounting — DSBGA reality check
The 4-DSBGA package requires a stencil and reflow oven — not a hand-solder repair. The supplier device package is 4-DSBGA, which is the TI designation for the same 4-bump array.
